Active Duty Service Members
Tuition and fees are set by the Washington State Legislature and are subject to change. Green River College reserves the right to change any of its fees or charges without notice.
Green River College is committed to helping active duty members and their spouses reach their educational goals. All four service branches and the U.S. Coast Guard offer financial assistance for voluntary, off-duty education programs. Educational benefits are also available to eligible members of the National Guard and selected reserves.
Service members first need to check with their Command Education Officer (CEO) to establish eligibility and requirements involving Tuition Assistance (TA). This can be done by visiting their local installation education office, by going online to a virtual education center, or by clicking on the following links for each service branch:

Lower Level Tuition Rates (Under 300-level):
Active Duty Service Members 1 - 10 credits - $99.66 per credit, plus fees
Active Duty Service Members 11 - 18 credits - $50.15 per credit, plus fees
Active Duty Service Members 19+ credits - $114.47 per credit, plus fees
Upper Level Tuition Rates (300-level and above):
Active Duty Service Members 1 - 10 credits - $219.68 per credit, plus fees
Active Duty Service Members 11 - 18 credits - fees only
Active Duty Service Members 19+ credits - $234.49 per credit, plus fees
DoD Tuition Assistance Refunds:
The Department of Defense Tuition Assistance program has it's own refund procedures. Classes paid for by the Department of Defense Tuition Assistance program will be issued refunds under the following conditions:
