Advisor

After you are admitted to Green River College, you will be assigned an advisor. Your advisor will send you a welcome email before orientation.

Registration

Students who have met the English Proficiency Requirements and are eligible for academic classes will meet with their advisor before registering for classes. Halfway through their first quarter, academic students meet one-on-one with their advisor to develop a personal education plan. It includes their major, destination universities, and a 2-year course plan.

Day Trip

Green River provides a "New Student Adventure Trip" for new international students. You will enjoy a traditional campfire, crafts, and other activities with American and international student leaders!

Activity Trip

Green River will also provide a "New Student Shopping Trip" to a destination of interest in and around the Seattle area.

What to Wear

Students and faculty dress casually at Green River. A typical winter outfit is jeans and a pullover or shirt; in the warm summer months, many students wear short pants to class. A light jacket is good to have any time of year.
