Certification for VA Education Benefits each quarter is not automatic. Students who wish to receive the benefit must complete the paperwork with the SCO and must submit the Quarterly Enrollment Request (QER) form every quarter after signing up for classes in order to continue receiving benefits and to prevent delays in payment of benefits.

If the QER form is not submitted to the Veteran Services Office, we will assume that the student does not wish to receive the benefit or is no longer attending, and the benefits will discontinue into the next academic term. The QER form can be submitted in-person in the Veteran Services Office or online through our secure upload portal

Absence Due to Military Service

When students are deployed (or re-stationed, National Guard 2-week training, boot camp, etc.) while enrolled in classes at Green River College, students should provide a copy of their orders to the Office of the Registrar (OtR) in order to process a Withdrawal/Refund Exception Request (i.e., Policy Exception).

Incomplete(I) grade policy*
An instructor may record a student's work as incomplete when the student has been delayed in completing the required work. “I” grades do not affect GPA. Student has four quarters (or less, if instructor indicates) to finish the Incomplete agreement with the instructor. After four quarters, if the “I” grade still appears on the transcript it will be changed to a 0.0 by the Office of the Registrar.

Incomplete Agreements
Coursework may be completed according to an agreement between the instructor and student. Any student seeking to establish an Incomplete Agreement must contact the instructor for the class. At the instructor's discretion, an Incomplete Agreement may be created and will reside with the instructor of record. The instructor will assign an “I” grade during the grading period. Once the terms of the Incomplete Agreement have been met, the instructor submits a change of grade to the Office of the Registrar.
