About Philosophy

The Philosophy Concentration helps students develop important skills for thinking clearly, solving problems, and making decisions. By focusing on philosophy in their courses, students improve their reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills. Philosophy also teaches students how to think about right and wrong, helping them make good choices in both their careers and personal lives. These skills are valuable in any job and help students adapt to changes in the world around them.

Career Outlook

Studying Philosophy can open the door to many different careers. It teaches you to think clearly, solve problems, and make good decisions—skills that are helpful in many jobs. Philosophy graduates often work as teachers, writers, or in areas like law, government, business, or social services.

Philosophy also prepares you to think critically and understand different viewpoints, which is valuable in any career that involves helping people or solving complex problems. Many students go on to work in fields like counseling, public policy, and even technology or journalism.
