Placement used to only be done through an assessment at GRC, but now we can assess students using:
- High School Transcripts
- Smarter Balanced assessment scores
- Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) scores
- GRC placement assessments
You OR your students can submit the above documents to Green River College Placement & Testing Center digitally (upload button below). After submission, our Placement & Testing Specialists will evaluate the documents and determine a student's placement. Once evaluated, we will email the student directly with their Math and English placement levels. They should keep a look out for an email from TestingCenter@greenriver.edu.
Please Note:
- Files must be separated by student and in .pdf format
- Multiple files can be uploaded to the dropbox at one time

Funding
- Financial Aid/Foundation Scholarship - April 30, 2025 (Priority Processing Due Date)
- Priority processing means students are placed at the front of the line for awarding, with the goal of having them awarded before the quarter start. Meeting the priority processing date allows our Financial Aid and Foundation Scholarship offices to place a hold on accounts so classes won't be dropped for non-payment while they are processing.
