Dan was born and raised in Bellevue, Nebraska, near Omaha. He received a B.S. from Nebraska Wesleyan University in theatre and music, and after graduate study at Westminster Choir College in New Jersey, embarked on a career in church music.
"I have served churches in New Jersey, Colorado, and Kent, WA. I am married to Kelly and have three adult daughters (two attended GRC). My parents, brother, and many close relatives are/were in education as administrators and teachers, so I am excited to join their number.
"Kelly and I have hosted international students for over 10 years, which led to my interest in my new position at Green River College. In my spare time, I like to go camping, read, play the piano and guitar, and attend plays and concerts. I am looking forward to our first grandchild later this spring!"
