Andres Montano Leal

Hello. Mucho gusto!
My name is Andres Montano Leal, and I was born in Bogota, Colombia. I have been on Green River College's IPEL team since 2023. I immigrated to the U.S. from Colombia in 2022, and I have a Bachelor's degree in Finance and International Trade from La Salle University, Colombia.
Ever since I had my life-changing study abroad experience in Canada in 2015, I have known I want to pursue a career in International Education and work in a multicultural environment that will allow me to support students in fulfilling their dreams! I like to think of myself as an ambassador of international students since I love to share my experience having done study abroad, being a Latino in the US, and having worked for international relations and education programs ever since I finished my degree.
I feel proud to be part of the IPEL team working in Study Abroad and International Short-term Programs. I really enjoy supporting students with their academic and international goals in different countries.
In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, travelling, drinking good coffee, and having BBQs with friends and family.
