Welcome to the Meet the Staff page for the Grad to Gator program! Our dedicated team is made up of friendly staff members from different departments at the college, all working together to help you make the transition to college life. These are the people you'll meet when we visit your school, ready to give you advice, support, and helpful information as you start your journey to becoming a Gator. Each staff member has something unique to offer, whether it's helping apply to GRC, searching for funding options, or providing guidance when picking classes. Take a moment to get to know the team who's here to help you succeed!

Who am I?
I've been a Higher Education professional for the past 6 years and it's allowed me to travel and meet the best people ever. Though I may be small, I can be a mighty force of nature! I'm a Pierce County local and a self-proclaimed reader, dog lover and pop-culture fanatic. I think of myself as a laid-back person, although I've also been known to be sarcastic when the opportunity presents itself!

David Jackson (he/him/his)
Financial Aid Outreach Specialist

Who am I?
I am a new member of the mighty Green River College, and I couldn't be more excited. I have a background in Banking, and Human Resources, and I do community outreach in my own personal time. From volunteering at my old childhood community center, to hosting my own podcast, I always look forward to voicing my opinion, helping others, and learning but making sure I have a good time while I do it. Lover of biopics, and Funko Pops!
I'm always up for gifts, so the way to my heart is through vinyl records, and cinnamon rolls.
Words to live by:
I never lose. I either win, or I learn.

Who am I?
I have worked in the Placement & Testing Center since 2016. If somebody would have told me that I would be passionate about placement & testing when I was in high school or college, I would have laughed them out of the room. Yet here I am! My goal is to make sure potential Green River College students receive the service and information they need to access the resource of higher education.

Who am I?
I'm proud to identify as a Cambodian first-generation educator. I've been at Green River College for over ten years. What led me to working in higher education was due to the lack of representation of BIPOC educators on college/university campuses. As a byproduct of the community college system, I struggled to find my place as a first-generation student trying to navigate my sense of purpose, belong, and identity throughout my years in college. There were many times when I wanted to quit and thought college wasn't for me. However, I had a mentor that helped me realized my full potential and motivated me to pursue great things. As a BIPOC educator, I now get the opportunity to work with amazing students from all walks of life. One thing I like to tell students is that college is your time to explore, learn, and discover. Outside of work, I enjoy being in the outdoors, taking photos and videos on my phone, and go for long bike rides to experience new places.
