Fresh Perspectives podcast receives national recognition for excellence in marketing and communications

The GRC Fresh Perspectives podcast received top honors at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) Paragon Awards competition on March 15, taking home gold in the Podcast category.

This annual competition recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges. It’s the only national competition of its kind that honors excellence exclusively among marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges. Green River faced strong competition as NCMPR represents more than 1,700 members from nearly 650 colleges across the United States and Canada.

Fresh Perspectives explores the topic of race-related experiences in our culture from diverse perspectives. The podcast is hosted by Amanda Thomas, Director of Workforce Education, and Mark Brown, Director of Learning and Innovation, and produced by College Relations and KGRG. episodes focuses on Black Love/Self Love, current events of Black Higher-Ed, and the experiences of Black students, faculty and staff within our college community.

This is the second award for Fresh Perspectives, which previously earned a silver Medallion Award from NCMPR's District 7, which is comprised of colleges in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Yukon Territory.
