In support of being an anti-racist institution, Green River College is applying to be a member of the Umoja Community. If successful, GRC would be the 4th such program in Washington State.

Green River College’s Godfrey Drake reached a career milestone after earning his 100th victory as the Gator’s head men’s basketball coach, making him the fastest coach in GRC’s men’s basketball history to reach 100 wins. In his six seasons leading the Gators, Drake has guided the team to three NWAC Championship tournaments and is on their way to a fourth.

Green River College has been named one of the top 150 community colleges in the country by the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program. As a Top finalist, GRC is eligible for the 2025 $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the nation’s signature recognition of high achievement and performance.

The general hours of business operations will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with the campus closed to the public on Fridays. Regular hours will resume the week of Monday, Sept. 4.

After more than 16 years serving at Green River College, Vice President of Student Affairs Dr. Deb Casey was recently named the third president of Wor-Wic Community College, effective Aug. 14. 2023.
As Dr. Rolita Flores Ezeonu reflects on her time participating in the 2022-2023 Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship program, she feels both strengthened and validated in her belief that bringing one’s whole self and identity is key to being a successful leader at any organization.
GRC students' undergraduate research work (a collaboration with the Clean Energy Institute) was recently published in the 'Symmetry', an online physics journal published by Fermi National Lab and SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory.
