Financial aid programs at Green River are administered according to nationally established policies and guidelines, which are based on the belief that parents have the primary responsibility for assisting their children with educational expenses.

Loan Programs

 Direct PLUS Loan
A federal loan program for parents of dependent students. 7.54% interest rate. Payment can be deferred.
No Maximum loan for parents is based on cost of attendance, less any other aid. 
Federal Direct Loan
A federal loan program with 4.99% interest for subsidized and unsubsidized loans with deferred payments.
6 No Maximum amount $5,500 as a freshman, $6,500 as a sophomore, and $7,500 BAS level plus additional Unsubsidized amounts. Minimum varies depending on eligibility.

Financial Aid Office Availability

In order to work on processing aid applications for 2024-25, the Financial Aid Office will have dedicated processing time during these dates: May 13-24, June 10-28, and August 19-30. For more information on what this means, check the FAFSA Simplification page.

How can I check on the status of my aid?

Check your email along with the Tasks, Message Center, and Financial Aid tiles in your student homepage in ctcLink for updates on your financial aid. We will not be able to start processing applications and sending out aid offers for the 2024-25 aid year until late June. Contact our office if you have questions about the status of your 2023-24 application.

2024-2025 FAFSA/WASFA now available!

Renew your FAFSA/WASFA for the 2024-25 award year. This includes Summer 2024, Fall 2024, Winter 2025, Spring 2025.
