Placement & Testing Center Mission Statement
The Green River College Placement and Testing Center contributes to educational access, student success, and community enrichment through administration of placement, proctored, professional, and instructional testing in adherence to the National College Testing Association’s Professional Standards and Guidelines. We serve Green River College, students, and the community with commitment to accessibility, equity, and integrity.

Service Areas
Course Placement Testing
Course placement can be achieved through a variety of means including testing.
Instructional Testing
Green River instructors may arrange for students to take their tests in the Testing Center.
GED® Testing
Green River College is a GED® testing site and offers preparation courses.
Program Admissions Testing
Selective admissions programs may require testing as part of the application process.
Proctored Testing
Proctoring services are available for students at other institutions or agencies.

Prohibited Items
For academic integrity purposes, some items will not be allowed in the testing room. These items can be stored in lockers at the Testing Center. Please see this document Prohibited Items Document for a complete list of these items.
