Should ART Match the Furniture?

What is the role of art in your life?

This exhibit asked artists to create an installation, a vignette, in which art and furniture are considered. There was no parameter. No expectation. Instead the concept was left to the individual artist's interpretation of how to incorporate art within the context of a "livable" space.

Ask yourself...

  • Does art only serve the role of decoration in your home?
  • How do you select what hangs in your home?
  • Is it important to you that someone has made it?
  • Do you consider how the art reflects your life?
  • How do you know if the art is right?
