Green River College International Programs
Thanks to these relationships, Green River is ranked #9 in the Nation.
Schools and partners share the same priorities: strong enrollment and graduation figures, quality programs, successful students (both academically and emotionally), and satisfied parents.
Become a PartnerThe college works closely with partner schools, including high schools, universities and language schools. College officials frequently present to prospective students and their parents at partner schools with an alumnus, parents, a partner school official and the agent all speaking and interacting. Green River has found that this depth of relationship, generally of long standing and focusing on the actual experience of the students themselves, to be the key ingredients of the college’s overseas recruitment success.

The Study of the United States Institute (SUSI) on Women's Leadership is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). ECA’s mission is "to foster mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries to promote friendly and peaceful relations.
Green River College's International Housing program began in 1989 with fifty host families and less than 100 international students. Today, in 2021, the program has grown to 160 active host families and between 1,100 and 1,200 international students.More often than not, international students build lifelong bonds with their host families and Green River truly values and embraces the importance of host families in the community. Thank you to all of our host families for being kind, respectful, gracious and sharing your homes with our students. You help make this program the success that it is.
