Do you love acting? Green River Community College offers two great opportunites to get involved on the stage.

 

Heavier Than Air Family Theatre

The Heavier Than Air Family Theatre Company is a resident children's community theater group sponsored by the Associated Students of Green River Community College and Green River Foundation. Participation is open to all Green River students and adult members of the community.

A bitter old miser is given a chance for redemption when he is visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve. the timeless classic based on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol

The Wizard of Oz

Everyone's favorite story by Frank Baum. Enjoy the adventure with Dorothy and her friends as they travel down the yellow brick road.

Jack & the Giant

A boy named Jack, his mother, a giant and magical beans come together to spin a charming musical version of this classic take. An original interpretation of the classic fairy tale written especially for Heavier Than Air Family Theatre.

Green River Drama Department

The Green River drama program presents contemporary and original dramatic works. Over the years, faculty, professional guest directors, student casts and crews have presented variations on Shakespeare, Broadway musicals, and Northwest premiers. By registering for Green River's drama classes, you can audition and proceed through the selection process for cast roles and crew positions. This experience provides students with the chance to participate in all aspects of producing a high quality theatre production.

Musical "110 in the Shade"

Spring quarter 2013
Green River Community Colleges drama and music departments
will be putting on a production of the Tony award winning musical:
"110 in the Shade"

You will need to enroll in one of the following classes to be in this production.
DRMA 111, 112, 113, 211, 212, 213 or Music 124

Classes will take place Monday-Friday at 11:00 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. in the performing arts building.
Performance dates will be May 31st, June 1st  & 2nd.

This also counts as an activity credit for all those who need one!!!
