Mission
The mission of Institutional Research and Planning (IRP) is to support the mission and goals of Green River Community College by transforming data into useful information that support decision-making, strategic planning, and institutional effectiveness while ensuring accuracy, integrity, timeliness, and consistency.
Major Functions
- Institutional Research - Provide descriptive data and analytical reports that supply information to support decision making and accountability.
- Planning - Provide leadership and support to the College strategic planning process and collaborate with other departments to connect institutional assessment, planning, and budget development.
- Assessment - Work with the faculty and staff to implement, improve, and report college assessment activities
- Reporting - Provide data about the college and its students and staff to external agencies, accreditations, state and federal government, and internal constituencies

Data requests will generally be answered based on first-come first-serve basis or on complexity. In many cases the request will be filled in less than a week. Please give us as much notice as possible when requesting data, for some requests take longer than others depending on the nature and the source for the data.
