Student Safety
On Sunday, January 6, three international students were robbed at gunpoint in daylight at the bus stop on 124th Street near the College. There have been similar incidents over the last few months in Auburn and Kent.
"Student safety is our number one priority," Green River President Dr. Eileen Ely said in a message sent to all international students. She added: "We do not take these incidents lightly, and we are working closely with the Auburn and Kent Police departments. Steps are being taken to catch the criminals who have accosted our students, to help prevent and severely limit such crimes from happening in the future."
A special meeting for all International students concerned about safety was held on Friday January 11. The following individuals were present to listen to concerns and answer questions:

- Kent Police Department Representative
